The basic premise for loading producer cars through WCRR’s Tradional Producer Car Program is that producers’ realize an economic gain by exercising their right to load trackside railcars thus saving the cost of grain handling. The cost savings alone can exceed $10 per tonne. In addition to the handling savings created by this program, the producer also qualifies for a rebate credit.
